School Counseling at Springfield College

Are you ready to advance your skills, pivot your current career, or obtain professional licensure as a School Counselor or School Adjustment Counselor?

The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in School Counseling at Springfield College is designed to serve individuals who hold master's degrees in related fields who are seeking the next step in their educational path. The hybrid program is flexible, includes both face to face and online options and allows for full- or part-time study and is based upon student needs and interests.

You'll work closely with an academic advisor to define professional goals and design a curriculum to advance toward those goals.  Students can gain eligibility for Educator Licensure in both School Counseling and Adjustment Counseling. There are opportunities for funding and financial support through grants and partnerships.

Graduates of the program are prepared to better meet the increasing mental health needs as school counselors or to take on leadership roles in educational settings.  Whether you're looking to improve your practice or take on a new role, the CAGS in School Counseling program is here for you!
